Just following up on a quick point from last week's Month End Summary: there was a discussion about the post-Kickstarter campaign development on Trinity Continuum: Aberrant and how extensive any revisions and re-writes would be. I reached out to Eddy Webb, one of the Onyx Path superstars, and he was awesome enough to share this insight into the long and thorough development process that goes on behind the scenes, especially with a property as beloved as Aberrant.

The TC: Aberrant Feedback Process
Hey all! Eddy here. It’s been a bit since I last did a post about TC: Aberrant, so I wanted to give an update about the manuscript.
First off, thanks to everyone who gave feedback during the Kickstarter. Your commentary was a huge help! It’s great to have a group of passionate fans who are excited about a project, and willing to help point out areas of concern that can make it even better!
After everyone filled out the form, I went through and read every single piece of feedback. Some I ignored, because they didn’t make sense and I wasn’t able to follow up with the person who posted it, because the suggested change went against where we want the book to go, or because it was an error (for example, one person suggested that “papal bull” was a typo, but it’s a real thing, I swear!). The rest I marked as either “yes, this is a thing we should change” or “I’m not sure if this should change.”
Of the latter category, I organized it into some high-level topics to discuss with the design team. The main concerns were that Scale was unclear, that Transcendence was a little too punishing, and that a number of powers were either unclear or unbalanced. It was clear those topics were concerns, but exactly what the concerns were and what should actually change were complex and nuanced. So we talked over those concerns, came to some decisions, and then set about fixing the problems.
To alleviate a concern from some fans, this wasn’t a total rewrite, in the sense that the manuscript is going to be unrecognizable from what you saw during the Kickstarter process. We worked really hard on that, and a lot of the feedback we got was that folks were very happy with it, so we don’t want to throw all that away! That said, every chapter was touched a little bit (mainly with minor typos corrected or rules clarified), and a few areas more thoroughly reviewed (like the powers and tech invention section). A few things were combined with other things, and a couple areas had some more lines added or reworked to clarify things. But again, none of the sections were completely cut and rewritten from scratch - all the changes were the kinds of things we’d expect from an errata pass, rather than a totally new development pass. More things popped up in editing, but that’s natural and again in line with what we expect during this process.
That said, we expect that a handful of things have still made it through, which is why we plan to have an errata pass. Once the book is laid out, we’ll be giving a “beta” version of the PDF to all you lovely backers, and put up an errata sheet so y’all can help us find the last few errors and make the book the best it can possibly be. We won’t be doing any rewriting of systems at that time -- it’s more just things like typos and to clarify still-confusing areas.
I’m excited to see how the final book turns out!

There's been some debate about how extensive the post-Kickstarter development phase was for our Aberrant core book. I'll see if I can get any info from Eddy Webb and his team that may shed some light on that. One thing's for sure - we'll absolutely have our answers when we get that backer PDF, something I'm really looking forward to. Still a lot of steps to go, though, so let's see where we are...
According to the most recent Monday Meeting Notes, Novas Worldwide is in the Redlines stage, with revisions outline going into the Second Draft. N!ternational Wrestling Entertainment is in that Second Draft stage, while our Trinity Continuum: Aberrant book is all through Editing and now in Post-Editing Development. Also, it looks like the majority of the artwork for it has now been contracted, so hopefully it'll move through layout quickly and into my eager hands. Still many steps, still a ways to travel, but moving forward.
I'll post our list of delivered and pending rewards with each summary update, so that we can track everything that's needed and keep on the same page. Technocracy Reloaded peels back the curtain and examines the role of the Technocracy in Mage 20th Anniversary Edition. The various Future Fates presented in Mage 20 are examined and this book introduces a few of its own. This book provides a detailed look at life within the Technocracy, expanded information on the Conventions, a wealth of equipment, Adjustments, and Procedures, a breakdown of the various shadow conspiracies and factions within the Technocratic Union, and tips for running your own Technocracy Chronicle.

Hello Continuum Community,
As we hit the end of March, it's time for our regular Month End status update. Although, there's been nothing "regular" about the past month at all. I hope this update finds each of you as well as possible, and managing through this global transition. Transition into what, I'm not sure, but I'm doing my best to hold on to the optimism and hope found in the pages of the Trinity Continuum books.

I wish there was a February 30 to get more work done. But, at the same time, this month has been rough, so happy it's over!
We're down to the last week of the Hunter: The Vigil SecondEdition Kickstarter campaign, and heading towards 400% funding and lots of Stretch Goals already achieved! Folks seem really excited about how HtV has been brought into 2nd Edition Chronicles of Darkness, so c'mon and check it out if you haven't already!

Hunter: The Vigil Second Edition is a standalone game that can be played by new or existing players. The lore has been updated to not only reflect the uptick in monsters, but also the fact that hunting monsters is not exclusive to a location, group of people, or time period. There may be more monsters than ever before, but now there are more ways to fight them, too.
In Hunter: The Vigil, anyone can be a hunter — provided you are committed to the hunt. It is a game of personal horror and sacrifice that tests relationships and encourages teamwork within a cell, compact, or conspiracy.
